TEACHER: Biology - Linking photosynthesis, respiration, and atmospheric CO2

A four day MSP summer workshop this summer called "Linking photosynthesis, respiration, and atmospheric CO2"

Teachers will receive Act 48 and be paid at the contractual rate.

You MUST be a full time School District of Philadelphia (SDP) Teacher.

You MUST register using PD Planner starting May 8th.

This one week workshop for high school biology and environmental science teachers will be an in-depth exploration of carbon cycling through living organisms and the environment. In addition to teaching advanced biology content on the carbon cycle and global climate change, this workshop will help teachers make connections across the curriculum using hands-on/minds-on activities including chromatography and direct measurements photosynthesis and respiration. Teachers will gain experience using Vernier sensor probes and will have access to classroom library sets they will be able to check out and use in their classrooms.

Dates: June 29, 30 and July 1, 2

Time: 9 am to 1 pm
