Oratorical Contest Winners

Congratulations to Porcha Hyman and Katrina Scott for their 1st and 2nd place finishes, respectively, in our Black History Month Oratorical Contest. The topic was "Why African Americans should have HOPE for their future, and my contribution to that end." Both young ladies presented great speeches to the faculty and staff and have been awarded with plaques and will be receiving cash prizes for their efforts ($100 and $50).

February 18 Oratorical Contest

On Wednesday February 18th at 6:30pm students will be competing in the HOPE Charter School Oratorical Contest based on the theme ”Why African Americans should have HOPE for their future, and my contribution to that end.” Three finalists will be picked from each grade level to present their speeches in front of the panel of judges assembled with various board members and other invited guest judges. First place winners from each grade will be awarded with a $100 cash prize. See Mr. Rogers for details.
