The May 14 Poetry Slam was a stunning success. In recent weeks students attended a poetry workshop organized by Mr. S. King. Students were joined by professionals and several percussion performers and performed original works at the Poetry Slam.Student poets are: James Bailey, Shayna King, Shkeem Brown, Jerrell Smith, Melody Woods, Katrina Scott, Saheem Blackwell, Brajeen Turner, Dave Toliver, Sabrina Dutton, Geneva Williams, Brittany Turner, Asia Holland, Jasmine Bey-Austin, Shariff Bosworth, Jonathan Williams, Antwyne Stevenson.
Ms. Lisa Mullen and Ms. Toi Brown also performed original works. It was great to see the students and staff display their talents.
