VESTED Academy - Villanova University - Student Opportunity

STEM - SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHEMATICS, and COMPUTER SCIENCE:

Application deadline for Villanova University's VESTED Academy is November 8, 2010.

· The Villanova Engineering, Science, and Technology Enrichment and Development (VESTED) Academy is an intensive eight weekend long introduction to engineering experience for high school students entering grades 9th-12th.

· It is free.

· The VESTED program is modeled in such a way that students will gain maximum exposure to the exciting field of engineering

· The VESTED Academy is held on the campus of Villanova University in the College of Engineering which allows students immediate access to engineering laboratories and state of the art technological equipment. The program is held on selected Saturdays from January through April and will run from 9am to 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided for all students and transportation will be available from designated pick-up locations within Philadelphia.

· Interested students need to speak with Mr. Bujak, room 106.

MIT announces its MITES Program, (Minority Introduction to Engineering and Science), a challenging 6 week summer program that prepares promising rising seniors for careers in engineering and science.
